Why Job Change Matters
For many foreign workers, status of residence is connected to work type and activity. Changing jobs may be simple for some people but serious for others.
Check Your Status of Residence
Look at your residence card and confirm your status. Your new work should match the activities allowed by that status.
Keep Work Documents
Keep your employment contract, job offer, resignation documents, salary records, and company information. They may be needed later for renewal or consultation.
After Quitting a Job
If you quit and do not have the next job yet, check whether you need to notify Immigration and how your status may be affected.
Ask Before Starting Work
If your new work is different from your old work, ask Immigration or a specialist before starting. This is safer than finding out later.
